On Tuesday morning, 10th March, ISTCI had an assembly to celebrate the competition winners during our book day celebrations. Mrs. Hinks and Miss MacKenzie gave certificates to children for participating in the ‘Reach for the Stars’ competition, for being best dressed in their grade and the teacher award for best door decoration.
We even congratulated the top 3 best-dressed book day characters across the whole school who were given a $20 voucher for Unicorn book store. These children were: Alice Boulet (Grade 2), Emory James (Grade 4) and Alyssa Gibbs (Grade 6).
Grade 2 were awarded the best door design and you can see their picture here. The winning door design was decided based on it being a team effort and a combination of adult and child input!
Thank you to all the teachers at ISTCI for their effort and hard work on their door designs – they were all fantastic so it was very difficult to decide. There are also pictures of the best-dressed certificate winners and the children who participated in the ‘Reach for the Stars’ competition below.
Finally, a huge thank you to all parents and carers who helped support children at home with creating costumes, participating in ‘Reach for the Stars’ competition and for coming along on the day to support with ‘reading with someone you love’ and the parade.
It was a wonderful community event! 😊
