Another accomplishment for our school as The International School of the Turks and Caicos' swim team travelled to Nassau, Bahamas to compete in the Alpha Aquatics International Invitational Swim Meet from March 8-9. They were accompanied by their coach, Mr David Rushton and chaperone, Mrs Drani Saunders.
It was the team's first international meet. The children competed in 50 m and 100 m races (breaststroke, front crawl, freestyle, butterfly and backstroke). They swam very well and obtained good times in their heats!
Our swimmers have been training for months, before and after school, and they have proven that they can hold their own against tough competitors!
Our swim team comprised of:
James Nesbitt came 3rd in his age group for 50 m breaststroke! What an achievement!
A big thank you to their coaches, Mr Benneth Williams and Mr David Ruston and thank you to the parents of our swimmer for your support and for fundraising.
