Encouraging our students’ natural curiosity and talents through STEAM activities helps teach children:
- how to persevere
- how to learn from failure and still try again
- how to re-evaluate, redesign and re-think a problem to create a unique and inventive solution.
All of these skills (among many more) are learned through STEAM activities.
Students from Grades 3 to 8 have built bridges, made towers from paper, made shoes that make noise, made parachutes, designed and built cars. Also, they have built tall structures using only toothpicks and gumdrops-using their knowledge of solid structures.
Every lesson is an ongoing learning experience!
