During September in Junior Kindergarten we talked about 'Colours and Shapes', 'All About me' and 'My Family'. These interesting topics really helped the children to understand and explore the world around them.
Our Early Years programme will instill in children a curiosity about the world and inspire in them a love of learning through highly structured and well planned play situations. Each child will develop in the 3 prime areas of Physical development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Communication and Language. This week the children enjoyed a Messy Day. What fun!
Our Junior Kindergarten children were full of enthusiasm and it really showed that they absorbed the information and remembered many of the topic discussions. The children showed curiosity and interest by listening during circle time lessons and participated well during group discussions.
We are pleased to see they are all happily getting involved in all art and craft activities carried out in class. They love drawing, painting, gluing and pasting! We are very proud of their efforts as they are producing recognisable drawings and they take great pride in all their art work.
They thoroughly enjoy singing songs and moving to music, especially our morning warm up songs and dance routines! They happily join in and participate in creative movement and music making.
It is going to be a fun term!
