Welcome to Grade 3! 

We have enjoyed a wonderful and exciting start to the year so far and it’s just the beginning of our awesome adventure through Grade 3. This term we will become time traveling explores, uncovering the wonders of Ancient Egypt. Investigating life in Ancient Egypt through the marvels of the Great Pyramids, Pharaohs, Gods and Goddesses, Art, Hieroglyphics, Mummification and much more!

We have loved organising our classroom with different active learning zones to help support and challenge us with individual and collaborative learning opportunities in Literacy, Numeracy, Social Studies and Art & Design.

In Literacy and Numeracy we have enjoyed developing our cooperative skills by working together in active collaborative lessons where we discuss, explore and apply our knowledge and skills in practical and meaningful ways. We especially love our new interactive spelling programme and our practical maths lessons. We worked in pairs to find lines of symmetry in everyday 2D shapes and 3D objects.

  We worked together in groups to share the new spelling rule and discuss the different aspects of each word to help each other by sharing our individual observations.
