Grade 4…….Are You Ready???

The first day of school is always full of emotions for everyone. (Even for the teachers!)

We all had amazing summers but now it is time to hit the books and get back on track for our next learning journey……our next adventure.

Our Grade 4 class consists of a lovely group of eager students who are ready for this academic year. We have many great field trips plans as well as some very exciting topics to learn about this year: from the Roman Empire to the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands to the amazing Wonders of the World.

Roman Empire  - Mad emperors, brutal entertainments and lascivious lifestyles. These are the familiar images of ancient Rome, but what was it really like? Turks and Caicos Islands - Long before Christopher Columbus first set foot on the capital island of Grand Turk during his discovery voyage of the new world in 1492, the islands of the Turks & Caicos were inhabited by Taino and Lucayan Indians.  These original settlers left a rich heritage of seafaring, salt raking and farming, which still lingers on today. We will explore more... Wonders of the World - The amazing works of art and architecture known as the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World serve as a testament to the ingenuity, imagination and sheer hard work of which human beings are capable. This is going to be a journey of discovery!
