The Adventures of Auntie Fannie, Mattie and the Talking Potatoes

Today, the ISTCI was privileged to have Pastor Bradley Handfield, from the Community Fellowship Centre Assembly of God, come to the school and share his latest venture. Pastor Bradley Handfield read his latest children's book 'The Adventures of Auntie Fannie, Mattie and the Talking Potatoes' to our students. Pastor Bradley talked about his visit in a TC Weekly News article. Pastor Bradley Handfield is well known throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands. As a young boy growing up in North Caicos, Pastor Handfield loved hearing the stories that were told to him and he shared the same stories with his own children. This love of these memorable stories was the starting point for him to write his own book. The students at the ISTCI listened attentively to the author as he read his story with great passion. The students later asked the author many questions about the book and himself.

'The Adventures of Auntie Fannie, Mattie and the Talking Potatoes' is an original story with an island setting. As the name suggest it is a series of stories about an old lady, her pet cat and some mysterious potatoes. This first volume is just the beginning of many intriguing stories that will light up the eyes of children around the world.
