We all know that children learn faster and retain more of the lessons taught them when it is done in a fun and easy way. We used this day to celebrate the wonderful world of mathematics and try out a range of creative ways to make maths even more fun than ever!

The school was split into their house teams the Tainos, the Caribs and the Arawaks and the children took part in all manner of fun and competitive maths games.

In the last hour, we decided to mix it up a bit. Each team would have 2 challenges. The relay and the cup challenge! The day ended with a nail biting quiz.

We have two maths activity days planned for March.
