Vina Sanchez Maranan, EYFS Coordinator, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
I was born and raised in Philippines. I graduated from the Tomas del Rosario College, Balanga, Philippines. In 2000, I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education with Masteral Units. I taught Preschool at the Bataan Infant Jesus School Balanga, Philippines for four years. Prior to that, I taught elementary school for one year (1st, 2nd and 3rd Grades) handling Reading and Language subjects. My husband and I were married in 2007 and we have two wonderful children.
I joined the International School of the Turks and Caicos Islands teaching team in September 2006 as Junior Kindergarten teacher, a wonderful age to teach because they are so eager to learn and with so much to share. No two days in school are ever the same, and watching the children grow and flourish and become passionate about their learning is a joy to be involved in. I am now in my tenth year here and have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the dedicated and happy staff.
I like working with all the wonderful teachers in this school and seeing the children play and interact with one another. I love teaching and being a part of the children’s growth, experience and discovery of learning. I enjoy the challenge of working with the JK children. It is not boring! Playing with them here each day is a real joy for me and I am very happy to be a part of the International School of the Turks and Caicos Islands family.
